Whether you are taking the next step to becoming a professional
pilot, or you just want to become a safer, more knowledgeable pilot, the
commercial pilot course is extremely rewarding.
Medical Requirements
An applicant shall have completed the medical examination
requirements in accordance with the Medical Standards for Civil Aviation
Personnel Licensing and be in possession of a Category 1 Medical.

80 hours ground school
Written examination - 60% passing grade
Experience Required for Certification
200 hours total flight time, including;
- 100 hours pilot in
command
- 20 hours cross country

Course Requirements
Following the issue of a Private Pilot Licence, an applicant shall
have completed 65 hours of commercial pilot flight training, consisting of
not less than;
- 35 hours dual
instruction
- 30 hours solo flight
time
- Approximately 90 hours of build
up solo time to achieve the required 100 hours of
pilot in command time.

Please Note: As previously mentioned,
to obtain a Commercial License you must have 200 hours total time, which
must include at least 100 hours pilot in command. Therefore, based on obtaining
a private license at 55 hours, you must build an additional 80 hours of
time before starting the Commercial Course.
