Prerequisites
Before commencing Flight Training an applicant shall hold a
Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot License (Aeroplane) and have completed
a minimum of 20 hours instrument time, of which a minimum of 10 hours shall
be instrument flight time.
Medical Requirements
An applicant shall have completed the medical examination requirements
in accordance with the Medical Standards for Civil Aviation Personnel
Licensing and be in possession of a Category 1 Medical.
Experience Required
An applicant must complete a minimum of 30 hours of dual flight
instruction on the presentation of all exercises set forth in the Flight
Instructor Guider
Knowledge
An applicant shall complete a minimum of 25 hours of Instructor
Rating ground school. The applicant must obtain a minimum 70% on the
Transport Canada written examination - "Flight Instructor Rating -
Aeroplane Class 4
