If you've been flying for a while, you'll know how clouds can sneak up on you. A good pilot will never get caught, but learning how to fly IFR (instrument flight rules) will offer you a measure of safety that one day, you'll be happy you have. The multi-engine component of this rating teaches you the specifics of flying high performance aircraft with more than one engine, and constant speed propellers.

These two areas of knowledge are combined to form the "Multi-IFR" rating. This is a necessary rating for commercial pilots who want to teach or move on to careers in aviation. Private pilots will benefit from the safety of two engines, the improved knowledge of aircraft systems, and the safety of being able to fly "in cloud". A challenging course that will help make you a truly competent pilot.
